Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented the budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha. During this, the government made many big announcements to give impetus to various sectors of the country. In this budget, many big announcements have been made to increase the participation of youth in the development of the country. Today, crores of youth are unemployed in the country. In such a situation, to encourage them towards employment, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made many big announcements while presenting the budget. During this, he said that the government is working on three schemes under the Employment Related Incentive Scheme. Under this scheme, people working for the first time in formal sectors will be given one month's salary. In this, direct benefit transfer of one month's salary up to Rs 15 thousand will be given in three installments. Its benefit will be given only to those people whose salary is less than Rs 1 lakh.
Not only this, the government will also work on increasing employment in the manufacturing sector. Under the scheme, people working in the manufacturing sector for the first time will get incentives. The government has made a provision of Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment and skills.
Apart from this, under the Prime Minister's package in the skill scheme, 20 lakh youth in various states will be made skilled by giving skill training. While presenting the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the government will also provide a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh to the youth for higher education.
While presenting the budget, Nirmala Sitharaman said that increasing the participation of women in the development of the country is also a priority of the government. In this, to increase the participation of women in the employment sector, the government will establish women's hostels and children's homes in collaboration with industries.
While presenting the budget, the Finance Minister has made a big announcement related to the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. The loan limit of up to Rs 10 lakh available under the PM Mudra Yojana has now been increased to Rs 20 lakh. In such a situation, the youth who are looking for self-employment. They can start their own business by taking advantage of this scheme of the government.
