It is believed that while presenting the budget on July 23, the government can increase the insurance coverage of Ayushman Bharat Yojana from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, about 12 crore families in the country can get free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh in government and private hospitals. Given the rapid increase in the cost of treatment in today's time, the government can increase the insurance cover amount of Ayushman Bharat Yojana from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh in this budget.
Apart from this, after the announcement of the President, every citizen above 70 years of age will be included under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. This will increase the number of beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Today many people in the country lack basic health facilities. Due to being financially weak, these people are not able to get their treatment done at any right place.
Given this problem in the country, the Government of India is running the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, these poor people can get free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh by joining the scheme.
