If we look at the data of the last two years, it is known that there has been a huge jump in the cases of Sudden Heart Attacks globally. The worrying thing is that most of its victims are people in the age group of 25-44, who till a few decades ago were considered quite safe from the risks of heart disease. Many videos of sudden heart attacks while dancing or working at a party are viral on social media. But what is its real reason after all? Researchers have made a big disclosure in a study to understand why heart attack is becoming so common.

Experts of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said in a recent study that after Covid-19, cases of sudden heart attack have increased rapidly. Due to the side effects of the infection, even young people have been its victims. Its risk is also being seen in the victims of Kovid or those who have not got the infection.

Corona affected the heart-lungs
Researchers examined more than 100 people who died of heart attacks to find out the causes of heart attacks. It was found that most of the victims of heart attacks were those who had come under the grip of infection during the epidemic. MRI examination of the dead bodies revealed heart-lung problems due to corona. It was also clarified in earlier studies that the coronavirus is increasing problems for the heart.

Effects of Corona on heart
In a research conducted in December 2022, a team of scientists reported that the corona damages both the heart and the lungs. The virus usually affects the lungs but it can also lead to serious heart problems. Due to lung damage caused by the virus, oxygen does not reach the heart muscle in sufficient quantity, which in turn damages the heart tissue.

Apart from this, an alert was also given about the side effects of corona on the arteries, which are directly the cause of serious heart problems.

Adverse conditions of the epidemic increased the risk
The ICMR report said that the coronavirus infected people severely, due to fatigue-weakness due to this, physical inactivity increased in people, and eating disorders were also observed, all of which increase the risk of a heart attack. There are situations.

Apart from this, among those who were safe from infection, yet they were victims of heart attack, the main reason for this was sitting for a long time and accordingly, there was a decrease in exercise or physical inactivity. The lockdown conditions resulted in a lack of exercise or physical exertion which affected the health of the people.

Increased risk from vaccination?
Some reports say the side effects of Covid vaccination have also increased the risk of a heart attack. Although its relation has not been found in the investigation of ICMR. Researchers say that earlier studies have also confirmed the side effects of corona on the heart, although it cannot be said that it has increased due to vaccination.

The detailed report of the study related to this is expected to come out in the next two weeks.
