By doing Malasana, there is a stretch in the lower back i.e. hips and pelvic area, which strengthens these organs. Doing this daily tones the abdominal muscles and brings flexibility to the ankles and knees. Apart from this, stomach problems like gas and acidity can be cured.
Drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning detoxifies the body, prevents headaches and migraines, strengthens the immune system, relieves stress, reduces weight and does not cause stomach-related problems. Also, the burning sensation in urine goes away and the skin becomes healthy and glowing. Apart from this, body temperature remains under control, energy level in the body increases and the process of formation of new cells and muscles speeds up. Malasana works on the organs around the hips and waist. Staying hydrated increases the flexibility in these parts, which makes it easier to perform the posture.
Healthy digestion
The squat position of Malasana and drinking water improves digestion and problems occurring during the posture can be prevented. By sitting in this position, the bowel movement works faster and the stomach gets cleared easily in the morning.
Detoxification
Hydration removes toxins from the body and you can get this benefit by drinking water during Malasana.
Muscles work better
When the body remains well hydrated, the muscles work well. Also, you can maintain stability and balance while doing Malasana.
Drink small amounts of water during yoga. Drinking too much water in one go can cause problems. Stay hydrated, but avoids drinking too much before or during yoga.
Method of Malasada
- To do this, stand straight.
- Move the feet away from each other.
- Now bend your knees slightly to come into a squat position.
- Take the hips towards the ground.
- Keep the spine straight, keep the hips towards the ground.
- Drink water while remaining in this position.
- Then come back to normal position.
