Most people think that bathing is a very easy task, but are you washing your body completely? Researchers at George Washington University claim that many of us forget to wash some of the dirtiest parts while bathing.

A study published in September in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology shows that when the moist and oily parts of the body are not cleaned regularly, infection-causing bacteria start growing in the body. This can not only cause bad odor, but it can also cause skin problems like eczema, rashes, and itching. You can know here about which parts need to be cleaned regularly.

Navel
The navel is like a deep pit, in which most dirt, dead skin cells, and sweat accumulate. In such a situation, if you do not clean it regularly, it can cause fungal or bacterial infection.

Method of cleaning- Clean the navel gently with water and soap. You can also clean the inside of the navel using a soft cloth or cotton swab.

Behind the ear
The area behind the ear is also very dirty. There is a light layering of skin here, due to which sweat and dead skin cells accumulate in it. In such a situation, if this part is not cleaned daily, it can cause itching and irritation.

Method of cleaning- While bathing, gently rub and wash the area behind the ear with your hands or a washcloth. If you have got a piercing done, then definitely clean that part.

Between the toes
A lot of moisture accumulates in the area between the toes. This poses a risk of fungus growing. If it is not cleaned regularly, it can also cause problems like athlete's foot.

Method of cleaning- While washing the feet, clean between your toes thoroughly with soap. Then dry it well with the help of a towel.
