You must have often heard that on the day of Bakrid, only non-vegetarian food is cooked in every Muslim house, but it is not so. Along with non-vegetarian food, people also make many vegetarian dishes in their homes.
There is also a dish among vegetarian dishes, without which the festival of Eid is incomplete. We are talking about Sevai. Sevai is made in every house on the day of Eid. In such a situation, if you want to try something different, then you can prepare Mango Sevai for your guests. In this article, we will tell you an easy recipe to make Mango Sevai. Ingredients for making Mango Seviyan
Seviyan - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
Milk - 3 cups
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Ripe mango pulp - 1 cup
Cardamom powder
Cashews, almonds and pistachios - 1/4 cup
Method
To make Mango Seviyan, first of all, you have to fry the Seviyan. For this, heat ghee in a pan. Add Seviyan to it and fry it on medium flame till it becomes golden brown. Keep stirring it continuously so that it does not burn. Keep in mind that while frying it, you have to keep the gas very low. When it is fried, turn off the gas and keep it aside.
After this, heat milk in another vessel and let it boil. When the milk boils, add boiled milk to the roasted Seviyan and mix well. After this, let the Seviyan cook in the milk on low flame. Keep stirring it in between so that it does not stick to the bottom.
When the Seviyan is half cooked, add sugar to it and mix. When the vermicelli is cooked completely and the milk thickens a little, add mango pulp to it and mix. Let it cook for a few more minutes so that the mango flavor blends well with the vermicelli.
Now add cardamom powder, cashews, almonds, and pistachios to it and mix. Keep in mind that the nuts should be finely chopped. Mix all these things well and then turn off the gas. While serving, add some mango pieces on top of it. You can serve it both cold and hot.
