The Ministry of External Affairs issued a notification informing that the portal of passport service will be closed from 8 pm on August 29 to 6 am on September 2 due to maintenance. Due to this, the work of many passport applicants was stuck. That is why as soon as the online services of passport service were restored. So people started searching for passport services on Google. Due to this, the passport service started trending on Google.
Let us tell you that now online facilities have started as before. People can avail of all the facilities online by visiting the passport service portal as before. That is when the passport service portal was closed for maintenance. In the meantime, you had an appointment. So now you can reschedule it. Along with this, you can also apply for a new passport.
The portal was started on September 1 itself
According to the information received from the Ministry of External Affairs, earlier the portal of passport service was to be closed from 29 August to 2 September. However, due to the maintenance work being completed early, the portal was started on September 1 at 7:00 pm. Apart from this, the Ministry of External Affairs has also given information that all the applicants who had an appointment during this period. A new appointment date and time will be issued again to all those applicants.
