Baked Gujiya vs Fried Gujiya
Baked Gujiya is nothing but a method of baking instead of frying. Though deep frying brings out the original taste of gujiyas while keeping health a priority, you should go for baked gujiyas. Fried gujiyas are high in calories and can lead to weight gain.

Instead of frying gujiyas, bake them to give them a healthy twist. Healthy filling made of dry fruits or semolina can be used in this. This method can help with digestion, prevent weight gain and also keep your blood sugar level under control. Even when it comes to taste, baked gujiyas taste better than fried gujiyas.

How to make Baked Gujiya
First, prepare the dough-
Take wheat flour in a big bowl, put two tablespoons of ghee in it, and knead the dough with lukewarm water. Ghee will help in making your Gujiya crispy. Now keep the dough aside for 25-30 minutes.

Prepare the stuffing for Gujiya-
1. Take a nonstick pan, add khoya, and mix till it melts.

2. Once the khoya melts and turns golden, add the dates and heat them till they turn slightly soft.

3. Now add coconut and cardamom powder and mix it well for a minute.

4. Take the pan off the heat and take it out on a plate. When slightly cool, add powdered sugar, almonds, walnuts, raisins, cashews, and melon seeds.

5. After the stuffing is ready, keep it cool down.

Now prepare Gujiya-
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius and now take a small ball of the dough and make a chapatti the size of a puri.

2. Place the chapati in the gujiya mold. Fill a tablespoon of stuffing in the center.

3. Dip your fingers in water, apply it on the edges of the circles, fold it into a moon shape, and seal the edges by pressing and twisting to make a gujiya pattern. Take the actress dough out of your hands.

Bake them
1. After making all the gujiyas, place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush some ghee on top.

2. Bake the tray in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let it cool slightly.

3. Store in an airtight container and enjoy.
