Ingredients required-

  • Wheat flour
  • Milk
  • Sugar candy
  • Coconut (optional)
  • Ghee

Method to prepare and apply-

  • Mix a sufficient amount of sugar candy, desiccated coconut and milk in 1 cup of wheat flour.
  • To make it smooth knead a little tight dough which is not brittle and dry.
  • Then roll between palms to make a ball.
  • Then flatten the dough and give it the shape of a pancake/puri with the help of a rolling pin.
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan, and pour enough ghee into it to submerge the puris.
  • When the ghee becomes hot, slowly pour the rolled dough into the ghee.
  • Once it puffs up, turn it over and fry till it gets cooked evenly.
  • Remove from ghee, and take it out on a paper napkin to absorb excess ghee.
  • Enjoy with coconut chutney or a vegetable side dish.
