India's star badminton player and former Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal has revealed that she is suffering from severe arthritis, which is threatening her future in the game. Saina Nehwal, who is 34 years old, said that due to this disease her training capacity has become very limited, due to which she is considering retirement by the end of this year.

Saina Nehwal said, "The knees are very bad. I have severe arthritis. My cartilage has deteriorated. It is very difficult to train for eight-nine hours. In such a situation, how will we challenge the best players in the world? I think I have to accept it somewhere. Because two hours of training is not enough to play with good level players and get the desired result."
