Three railway stations in Lucknow will be made world-class with Rs 92 crore. In this, Rs 24 crore will be spent on the development of Aishbagh station, Rs 32 crore will be spent on upgrading Badshahnagar station, and Rs 36 crore will be spent on modernizing Utretia railway station.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of a total of 508 railway stations across the country, including these three stations, by pressing a remote button through video conferencing under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme'. Under this, the foundation stone of four stations of the North Eastern Railway Lucknow Division was laid, which includes Aishbagh, Badshahnagar in Lucknow besides Basti and Sitapur. On the other hand, Uttaretiya Junction has been included in 15 stations of the Northern Railway Lucknow Division. These stations will be visible in the new model by March 31 next year. At the same time, a target has been set to make the station completely ready by December 31.


During this, celebrations were organized at Badshahnagar and Aishbagh Junction railway stations. Minister of State Somendra Tomar, Member Legislative Assembly Neeraj Bora, Member Legislative Council Ramchandra Pradhan, Padmashree Dr. Vidya Bindu Singh, and BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Vice President Santosh Singh, Vice President Awadh Region Rahul Raj Rastogi, in the function organized at Badshahnagar station. Regional Vice President Kamlesh Mishra was present. At the same time, Member Legislative Council Mukesh Sharma, Member Legislative Council Mohsin Raja, Representative MP Raghavendra Shukla, Regional Vice President of BJP Triloki Singh, and DRM Aditya Kumar were present in the function organized at Aishbagh station.

Uttaretiya: Surat will change with 36 crores

Senior DCM Rekha Sharma of Northern Railway Lucknow Division said that Utretia Junction has also been included in 15 Amrit railway stations, on which Rs 36 crore will be spent. With this amount, passenger facilities, circulation, train information system, etc. will be developed at the station. It will be developed as a world-class station. In the coming days, passenger facilities will be seen in all the stations of the Lucknow division.

Badshahnagar: The station will be seen in a new color from 32 crores

DRM Aditya Kumar of Northeast Railway Lucknow Division said that Badshahnagar station will be developed with Rs 32 crore. Entry and exit and boundary wall will be made in this. There will be interlocking on the circulating area and platform, and platform upgradation, elevation, and platform shed will be made. Beautification will be done with toilets, AC passenger waiting hall, and facade lighting. A 12-meter wide foot-over bridge will be built. Three lifts, and two escalators including a coach guidance display board, train information display board, and digital clocks will be installed.

Aishbagh: 24 crores will be spent, and the station will become top

Aishbagh railway station has been developed to a large extent during the gauge conversion. Apart from this, Rs 24 crore will be spent to enhance passenger facilities at the station and to make train operations state-of-the-art. Toilets and a hi-tech passenger waiting hall will be made. White lights and modern furniture will be installed for the passengers, there will be escalators for boarding and disembarking the passengers and digital clocks will be installed for the movement of trains.

State-of-the-art facilities will also be available at these 7 stations

On the one hand, the foundation of Amrit railway stations is being laid. On the other hand, almost all the stations of the capital will soon become state-of-the-art. The work of upgrading Charbagh and Gomtinagar railway stations is going on at a fast pace. All facilities including the mall, lounge, escalator, and lift will be available here. Whereas Alamnagar railway station has been developed as a satellite station. In this sequence, Manak Nagar station is being developed and Transport Nagar is being prepared as a parcel hub. 90 percent of the development work at Malhaur station has been completed. At the same time, a blueprint for passenger facilities is being prepared in Daliganj.
