This will be called the AI Act which will control the rapid development and risks in the field of AI. This law bans harmful AI practices that involve people's safety, livelihood, and rights.
Addressing a press conference, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said the law was necessary to prevent the rapidly increasing misuse of AI. Let us remind you that the proposal regarding the law against AI was given in 2021.
After the enactment of the law, chatbots like OpenAI's ChatGPT will come under its purview. Apart from this, Google Bard, Gemini, and Meta's Imagine will also have to face this law. There may soon be a law regarding deepfakes in India too.
