Make changes online like this-
First of all, click on the official website of UIDAI, uidai.gov.in.
Enter your Aadhaar number by going to Aadhaar Update on the homepage.
After this you will see the option to change the name. Change your surname here.
After changing the name in Aadhaar, also upload the affidavit and marriage certificate issued by the court.
After that click on OTP Send option.
Now OTP will be received on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Submit the form after entering the OTP.
In this way the surname will be changed in your Aadhaar.
Change surname offline

  • First of all, you take an appointment for Aadhar card. After that go to Aadhar center.
  • You fill the form to change the surname there.
  • After this, submit the copy of the affidavit and marriage certificate issued by the court.
  • Now you have to pay 50 rupees.
  • After this, the surname will be changed in your Aadhaar in 5 to 10 days.
