Khalistani terrorist arrested in Canada, was deployed as Pannu's personal security

Inderjit Singh Gosal, a Khalistani coordinator in Canada, was arrested on charges of arms offenses and terrorism-related charges. He is an associate of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Pannu.

Canada has arrested Khalistani Inderjit Singh Gosal. This action followed a meeting between India and Canada at the National Security Advisor level. Gosal served as the personal security officer (PSO) of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a designated terrorist of the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). The arrest came after India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval pressured the Canadian government, led by Mark Carney, to take strong action against Khalistani terrorists.

He was arrested last year as well.

Inderjit Singh Gosal, 36, was arrested by Canadian police in November last year in connection with violence at a Hindu temple in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He was later released on conditions.

Inderjit Singh Gosal is considered the key coordinator of the Khalistan referendum in Canada. He was recently arrested again on charges of arms-related offenses. He is also an associate and personal security officer (PSO) of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, who has been designated as a Khalistani terrorist by the Indian government.

The Canadian government presented an internal report

In early September, the Canadian government released an internal report acknowledging that Khalistani terrorist groups are active in the country and are receiving funding to carry out terror attacks against India. The report mentioned groups like Babbar Khalsa International and International SYF, which are listed as terrorist organizations under Canada's Criminal Code.

The report also said that now these extremist groups are active through small groups of individuals rather than large organisations, who are not tied to any specific organisation, but support the cause of Khalistan and are involved in activities against India.

What is the meaning of this arrest?

The arrests are being seen as part of a crackdown on Khalistani terrorists following a meeting between India and Canada at the National Security Advisor level. This major action comes after India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, pressured the Canadian government to take strong action against Khalistani terrorists.
