A young man from Kanpur turned the tables on a cyber fraudster, tricking him in his own game. When the fraudster’s own money got stuck, he forgot his threats and started begging for forgiveness.
How the Incident Happened
The youth came across an online advertisement for a luxury watch being sold. Interested in buying it, he contacted the seller (fraudster), who asked him to send money first.
After the youth transferred the money, the fraudster never sent the watch. Realizing he had been scammed, the youth decided to trap the fraudster in return. He convinced the fraudster to send money to a fake account, claiming it was necessary to complete the transaction.
Fraudster Begs for Forgiveness
When the fraudster sent the money, the youth told him that his funds were stuck. Panic-stricken, the fraudster—who had initially issued threats—started apologizing and begged for his money back. However, the youth refused and reported the scammer to the police.
Police Action and Cybercrime Awareness
A case has been registered against the fraudster, and the police have launched a search operation to track him down. This incident highlights the growing threat of cybercrime and the importance of being cautious while making online transactions.
