In accordance with the Negotiable Instruments Act, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has established certain holidays, which may vary from state to state. Customers should be aware of these dates so they can plan their banking activities accordingly. Consequently, in June, banks will be closed for a total of 11-13 days in different states. Of these, 6 (4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays) will be regular holidays, while the remaining holidays vary by state and local festivals.

When are the other holidays?
June 15 (Monday) – Banks will remain closed only in Odisha and Mizoram on the occasion of Raja Sankranti and YMA Day.
June 17 (Wednesday) – Banks will remain closed in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti.
June 18 (Thursday) – Banks will remain closed only in Punjab on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Guru Arjun Dev.
June 25 (Thursday) – Banks will remain closed in Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh due to Muharram.
June 26 (Friday) – Due to Muharram (Ashura), banks will remain closed in most of the states of the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhopal, and Patna.
June 29 (Monday) – Banks will remain closed in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on the occasion of Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti.
June 30 (Tuesday) – Banks will remain closed in Mizoram on the occasion of Remna Ni.
Digital services will remain operational.
Even though banks are going to remain closed for many days in June, there is no need to worry because during this period you will be able to use mobile banking, online net banking, ATM round the clock for money transactions, cash withdrawal and bill payment etc.
