JEE Mains Registration: The application process for JEE Main 2026, the country's largest engineering entrance exam, has begun. The National Testing Agency has released its notification. According to the notification, registration for JEE Main begins tomorrow, October 31st. Candidates seeking admission to courses like B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch., or B. Planning can apply until November 27, 2025. The application process will be completely online, and candidates will need to visit the NTA's official website to fill out the form.
JEE Main 2026 Fees and Eligibility
The JEE Main 2026 application process will continue until 11:50 pm on November 27, 2025. Candidates must also submit their fees by the 27th. The application fee for male candidates in the General category is ₹1,000, for OBC and EWS candidates ₹900, and for female candidates ₹800. The fee for SC, ST, transgender, and differently-abled candidates is ₹500. There is no age limit for applying for the JEE Main 2026 exam. Candidates who have passed Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 or are scheduled to appear in 2026 can apply. However, in Class 12, candidates must have Physics and Maths, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational Subjects.
These documents are required before applying
The NTA advises candidates to keep all required documents updated before applying. These include their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and category certificate. Candidates must ensure that the information on their Aadhaar card, such as name, date of birth, address, and photo, matches the information on their 10th grade marksheet. Doing so will prevent rejection.
Exam date and pattern
According to the notification issued by the NTA, the JEE Main exam will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be held between January 21st and 30th, while the second session will be held from April 1st to 10th, 2026. The exam city information for the first session will be released in the first week of January. Admit cards will be released 3 to 4 days before the exam, and the results will be declared by February 12th, 2026. This year, there are no changes to the exam pattern. The exam will consist of 75 questions for 300 marks. The question paper will consist of three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Each subject will have 25 questions, with four marks awarded for each correct answer, and one mark deducted for each incorrect answer. There will be no negative marking for unattempted questions.
