Jackfruit Biryani Recipe: Jackfruit Biryani is a traditional and quick recipe that enhances the taste of food on every special occasion.

If you are a vegetarian but are fond of eating biryani, then Jackfruit Biryani is a great option. The texture and spicy taste of jackfruit makes it a non-veg version of veg biryani. If you try this recipe once, you will want to make it again and again.
Jackfruit Biryani Ingredient: To make delicious Jackfruit Biryani, you will need these ingredients
- Jackfruit – 500 grams (washed and cut into pieces)
- Basmati rice – 2 cups
- Curd – 1 cup
- Onion – 2 finely chopped
- Tomato – 1 chopped
- Green chillies – 2
- Ginger-garlic paste – 2 teaspoons
- Mint and coriander - half a cup each
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric – ½ teaspoon
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves – a little
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil and ghee – as needed

Step 1: Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes. Then add salt and whole spices and cook it till 80%.
Step 2: Boil the jackfruit and make it slightly soft. Then fry it in oil till it turns golden.
Step 3: Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion. Then add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste.
Now add tomatoes, curd, spices and cook the masala well. Add fried jackfruit and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
Step 4: First spread a layer of spices in the biryani vessel, then rice. Add green coriander, mint and lemon juice on top.
Make 2-3 such layers and cover the vessel and let it simmer for 15 minutes on low flame.
Serve Jackfruit Biryani hot with raita and salad. It tastes exactly like Mutton Biryani.
