Israeli Spy Agency Mossad Launched 'Operation Zeppelin' to Protect Adani and Investigate Hindenburg Report

In a surprising development, Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad, reportedly launched a covert operation named 'Operation Zeppelin' with the primary goal of safeguarding Indian industrialist Gautam Adani. The operation, which was personally authorized by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, involved hacking the server of Congress leader Sam Pitroda and gathering intelligence on Rahul Gandhi's alleged connections with the Hindenburg Research report.

The Hindenburg Allegations and Adani's Financial Crisis

The saga began on 24 January 2023, when Hindenburg Research, a New York-based short-seller company, released a report accusing the Adani Group of massive corporate fraud, describing it as the biggest fraud in corporate history. This report caused Adani Group’s shares to plummet, wiping out over $150 billion in assets. In the aftermath of this financial crisis, Adani's business operations, including the acquisition of Haifa Port in Israel, were at risk.

Mossad's Role in Operation Zeppelin

To protect Adani, Mossad was activated by Netanyahu, who viewed the allegations as a direct attack on both Adani and Israel. The Israeli Prime Minister reportedly expressed concerns to Adani about the negative implications of the Hindenburg Report, which he believed not only targeted Adani but also posed a threat to Israeli interests, particularly the Haifa Port deal.

In response, Mossad launched Operation Zeppelin to protect Adani's interests and investigate the global ramifications of the Hindenburg report. The operation included two key Mossad units:

  • Tzomet (Human Intelligence)
  • Keshet (Cyber Operations)

These units were tasked with monitoring the activities of Nathan Anderson, the founder of Hindenburg Research, and investigating the company’s ties to Rahul Gandhi and other key figures in India’s opposition. The operation extended to surveillance of the Illinois server of Sam Pitroda, a close advisor to Rahul Gandhi and head of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC). The hacking of Pitroda’s server, allegedly ordered by Netanyahu, was seen as a method to gather crucial intelligence on any links between the Congress party and the allegations.

The Global Implications

This operation sheds light on the high-stakes nature of the Adani-Hindenburg crisis, with international intelligence agencies now reportedly involved in the effort to prevent the collapse of a major business empire. The involvement of Mossad indicates how critical the outcome of this investigation was, not just for India, but also for Israeli interests, particularly with the Haifa Port deal at the center of the issue.

As Operation Zeppelin continues, it underscores the complexity of global geopolitics, where business, politics, and intelligence operations often overlap in high-stakes situations.
