Israel-Iran Conflict Tensions are rising between Israel and Iran. The Israeli army killed Iranian General Major General Ali Shadmani in an airstrike. Shadmani was appointed in place of Major General Gholam Ali Rashid who had died earlier. Shadmani was considered close and trusted to Khamenei.

Shadmani was appointed in place of Major General Ghulam Ali Rashid. The Israeli army killed Major General Rashid in the initial attacks against Iran on Friday.
Work completed on the fourth day of taking charge
According to the Times of Israel report, Major General Ali Shadmani led the Khatam-al-Anbiya Central Headquarters for about four days. This department is known as Iran's Military Emergency Command. Shadmani replaced Major General Ghulam Ali Rashid. Rashid was killed in Israel's initial attacks against Iran on Friday.
Shadmani was close to Khamenei
The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) says that Major General Shadmani was Iran's most senior military commander and war chief. He was considered the closest military person to Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei. The IDF says, "Shadmani commanded both the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Armed Forces."
The IDF says that Shadmani previously served as the deputy of the Khatam-al-Anbiya Headquarters and the head of operations in Iran's armed forces.
