"IPL 2025: Dwayne Bravo out! CSK appoints this Indian player who has played 8 ODIs as assistant bowling coach - you will be stunned to know the name!"

Sridharan Sriram: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have appointed former India all-rounder Sridharan Sriram as the team's assistant bowling coach for the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) season. He will join the franchise's experienced coaching staff, which includes Stephen Fleming (head coach), Michael Hussey (batting coach) and Eric Simmons (bowling consultant). Let us tell you that Sriram has played 8 ODIs for India.

Sriram has a lot of coaching experience at different levels. Sriram will replace Dwayne Bravo in the Chennai team, who has become the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming season.

Sriram was Australia's assistant coach from 2016 to 2022, but he left this position to join Royal Challengers Bangalore. In August 2022, Sriram joined the Bangladesh team as a consultant for the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. In September 2023, he joined Lucknow Super Giants as an assistant coach for IPL 2024.

Shriram has also been the assistant coach of Delhi Daredevils.

Chennai's team for IPL 2025 has strong spinners from Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal and Noor Ahmed. Apart from this, there are also two spin bowling all-rounders in the form of Deepak Hooda and Rachin Ravindra.

Last year, CSK missed out on qualifying for the playoffs as they finished fifth with seven wins and as many losses in 14 group matches. Although they were equal on 14 points with fourth-placed RCB, Chennai could not advance due to poor run rate.

IPL 2025 will kick off on March 22 with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) taking on RCB in Kolkata and Chennai playing their first match against Mumbai Indians on March 23.
