First check the water level

Before adding water, always check the current level of water in each cell of the battery. Filling more or less water can damage the battery.

Use swing hydrometer

To measure the acid level correctly, use a swing hydrometer. This device helps to determine whether water is needed or not and ensures that you are maintaining the correct electrolyte balance.

Use only distilled or demineralized water

Never use tap water or mineral water, as these contain impurities that can damage the battery plates. Always use distilled or demineralized water.

Avoid using large containers

Do not pour water from a large container. This may cause leakage, increasing the risk of a short circuit or spark. Use a small-mouth bottle or funnel for controlled pouring.
