June 2025 Inflation: Inflation is decreasing in the country, which is affecting the pocket of the common man, and he is feeling relieved. The government released the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) data on Monday, July 14. It showed that the WPI of June was at a 20-month low of 0.13 percent, which is the lowest since October 2023. At the same time, the Wholesale Price Index for the month of May was 0.39 percent. That is, overall inflation has come down rapidly in the country. The government says that this decline has come due to the cheap manufacturing of crude petroleum, natural gas, mineral oil and basic metals. Apart from this, the price of food items has also come down.
From potatoes and onions to pulses, everything became cheaper
In June, the inflation rate of vegetables fell to 22.65 percent, which was 21.62 percent in May. Inflation of onion was 33.49 percent, which was 14.41 percent in May. The central bank projected further reduction in inflation in FY26. In the meeting, inflation was estimated at 4 percent for the financial year 2026, whereas earlier it was estimated to be up to 4.2 percent.
