Visakhapatnam News: The wait for the much-anticipated Vizag Glass Bridge in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is finally over. On December 1st, TDP MP Bharat inaugurated the skywalk bridge in Kailashgiri. He was accompanied by VMRDA Commissioner Tej Bharat, Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao, TDP MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, and several other officials. Following the inauguration, the bridge was opened to the public.

Vizag MP Bharath inaugurated the bridge

The construction of this glass bridge was completed long ago, but its inauguration was repeatedly delayed. Initially, it was planned to be completed by August 15th, but due to construction delays, it was completed in September. Even then, the bridge was not opened because the managers wanted Minister Lokesh to inaugurate it. Lokesh was busy and couldn't make time, so at his suggestion, Vizag MP Bharath inaugurated the bridge.

India's tallest bridge - Canti-lever Glass

This bridge is considered to be India's largest cantilever glass bridge. People in both Telugu states are very excited about it. Built on the edge of the Kailashgiri hill, the bridge offers visitors a panoramic view of towering hills, deep valleys, lush forests, and the vast ocean, all from one location. This makes it a major attraction in Vizag.

7 crore rupees were spent on the construction of the bridge.

A total of ₹7 crore was spent on the construction of this glass bridge. It was built under the PPP model. Its length is 55 meters, which is much longer than other glass bridges in the country. A glass bridge built in Kerala is 38 meters long, while the Aizawl Sky Walk in Mizoram is only 10 meters long. Thus, the Visakhapatnam Sky Walk Bridge is larger and stronger than all of them. From here, you will get a stunning view of the mountains and the sea.

It's said that this bridge will remain secure even during storms. It's built so strongly that even winds of up to 250 km per hour can't damage it. It even stood strong during the recent Cyclone Montha.
