Indian Army Pays Tribute to Virat Kohli Amidst India-Pakistan Tensions: DGMO Rajiv Ghai's Heartfelt Praise

In a rare moment of acknowledgment, the Indian Army saluted cricket legend Virat Kohli during a press briefing on Operation Sindoor. DGMO Rajiv Ghai, while sharing details about the operation, took a moment to express his admiration for Kohli, revealing that the star batsman had recently retired from Test cricket.

Ghai mentioned, "Virat Kohli has retired from Test cricket. Like many Indians, he is my favorite cricketer too." He further reminisced about the fierce cricket rivalry of the 70s, mentioning the legendary "Reverse Ashes" series and the terrifying Australian fast bowlers Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lillee, who had caused havoc among English batsmen.

This salute from the Indian Army highlights the immense respect Kohli commands, not just on the cricket field, but across various sectors of the nation.
