India Pakistan War: America's response has come amid the growing tension between India and Pakistan. In an interview given to Fox News, US Vice President JD Vance said, "...what we can do is to ask these people to reduce the tension a little, but we are not going to get involved in the middle of the war. Basically we have no business there. It has nothing to do with America's ability to control it. You know, America cannot ask Indians to lay down their arms. We cannot ask Pakistanis to lay down their arms either.

JD Vance further said that we can appeal for peace through diplomatic channels. The hope and expectation is that this does not turn into a wider regional war or, God forbid, into a nuclear war. We are concerned about these things. India and Pakistan should move forward with a calm mind. We have to ensure that this does not turn into a nuclear war. If this happens, it will be devastating, but right now we do not think that this is going to happen.
