Clean the peels
First, thoroughly clean the banana peels. After rinsing them thoroughly with water, peel them. Remove any remaining banana pulp from the peels. Then, cut the peels into small pieces. Place the peels in water and boil for a few minutes. This will soften them and make them easier to cook. After boiling, drain the water thoroughly and set the peels aside.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add finely chopped green chilies and fry for a few seconds. If you want to add onion and garlic, add them at this stage and fry until lightly golden. Next, add turmeric, red chili, and coriander powder. Cook the spices over low heat for a while.
