History made! Shubhanshu Shukla enters the International Space Station, and will stay in space for 14 days.

Shubhanshu Shukla Axiom 4: Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's SpaceX Dragon capsule docked with the space station at around 4:05 pm Indian time on June 26 after a journey of about 28.5 hours.

Shubhanshu Shukla Axiom 4: All four astronauts including Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla have entered the International Space Station (ISS). He said that my journey is the journey of the countrymen. This mission is being conducted by India's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. He will spend 14 days in the space center. The astronauts already present in the ISS welcomed the four astronauts at the station. They were given a welcome drink there.

Under the Axiom-4 mission, Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla's Dragon capsule docked 20 minutes before the scheduled time. After this, air leakage and pressure stability were checked. Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla's mother became emotional after watching the live telecast of the docking.

 

Reaction of Shubhanshu Shukla's father

Shubhanshu Shukla's father Shambhu Dayal Shukla said, "We are very happy. We thank God for the successful docking. We felt very good to see this. We are proud of our child. His sister Shuchi Mishra said, "This is a proud moment not only for me but for all Indians. This is a very important phase. I pray that this phase also passes quickly and they remain safe."

The spacecraft connected to the space station at around 4:05 pm Indian time on Thursday (26 June 2025) after a journey of about 28.5 hours. SpaceX's Falcon-9 rocket, carrying the astronauts of the Axiom-4 mission, successfully took off for the ISS from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:01 pm on June 25.

The whole world is watching with hope- Union Minister

Congratulating, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said, "Congratulations... Axiom-4 docking was successful. Shubhanshu is ready to step inside the International Space Station. His 14-day space journey is about to begin and the whole world is watching with excitement and hope." A few hours after takeoff, he released his first message from space and said, "Wow... it was an amazing journey... To be honest, when I was sitting in capsule Grace on the launchpad yesterday, there was only one thought in my mind, 'Let's just go.'"
