"He demanded 20,000 rupees..." Cricketer Shashank Singh breaks silence on allegations of assault against Cook; reveals a big secret

Shashank Singh: Cricketer Shashank Singh has broken his silence regarding the assault and abuse he faced from Cook. He revealed that Cook's first demand upon arrival was 20,000 rupees.

An FIR was filed against Shashank Singh, star all-rounder for the Punjab Kings in the IPL, his father Shailesh Singh, and another man for allegedly assaulting and abusing a cook named Dipendra Singh Tomar. Shashank has now broken his silence on the matter. He said the cook demanded ₹20,000 upon arrival. He also said he didn't know how to cook.

What did Shashank Singh say about the assault?

When news agency PTI questioned Shashank Singh about the assault on the cook, he said, "There is nothing like that. How can you hold a person hostage who comes on the evening of the 25th and leaves on the morning of the 28th? The man came to us saying that he knows how to cook. He can cook all kinds of food. But then he himself admitted that he does not know how to cook."

'Made a video of the bedroom'

Shashank further said, "How can you trust a person like this? He came to the house and started making videos of the bedroom. He even went into the bedroom where expensive and luxury items were kept, made videos there and sent them to other people. What do you say about this? I barely spent a minute with him. I asked him what he could cook? He replied Indian, Chinese, and everything."

Demanded 20,000 rupees

Shashank further said, "He came through a friend of my father's, who told him that he knew how to cook everything. But as soon as he arrived at home, he asked for an advance of Rs 20,000. My mother said, " Cook for 2-3 days first. We will see if you can adjust here or not. After that, we will decide how much money to pay."

He further said, "Demanding 20,000 rupees right at the beginning makes him suspicious. Who demands 20,000 rupees immediately after arriving? Show us your work first; only then will we hire you. He clearly didn't know how to make anything."
