According to the Times of India, senior Chennai Super Kings officials are currently in Dallas, USA, where the MLC 2026 is currently underway. Former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani is expected to become the new coach of Chennai Super Kings. Badani has previously coached the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League for the past two seasons.

Chennai Super Kings may replace their entire coaching staff. It's worth noting that since winning the championship for the fifth time in 2023, CSK hasn't reached the playoffs once. Currently, the team's top officials are in the United States, reviewing last season's performance and planning for the future.

Stephen Fleming played for Chennai Super Kings for one season. In IPL 2008, he scored 196 runs in 10 matches.

Who is Hemang Badani?

Hemang Badani has played international cricket for the Indian team. He played 40 ODIs and four Test matches for Team India between 2000 and 2004. He scored 961 runs in his international career, including one century and four fifties. If he becomes the coach of Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2027, it will not be the first time he has joined the CSK team. CSK signed Hemang Badani as a player in 2010, but he never made it to the playing eleven.
