From AI to robotics, 37 deep-tech innovations showcased at BRICS

Thirty-seven Indian deep-tech startups and enterprises showcased their innovations at the Bharat Innovates exposition held at Bharat Mandapam. Organized in conjunction with BRICS, the exhibition showcased several new technologies.

 

 

BRICS Deep Tech Innovation

 

 

India is rapidly advancing its technological frontiers to develop new and innovative technologies. This was evident at the India Innovates exposition held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Thirty-seven Indian deep-tech startups and enterprises, working on diverse technologies such as AI, quantum computing, marine robotics, floating solar technology, and electric mobility, showcased their innovations.

The exhibition, held on 11 and 12 September 2026, coincides with the 18th BRICS Summit. Its objective is to showcase innovations emerging from Indian research labs, startups and research parks to the world and connect them with international investors, companies, universities and research institutions.

 

 

37 deep-tech innovations showcased at BRICS

Thirty-seven deep-tech innovations from India were showcased at the BRICS exhibition held in New Delhi. The Ministry of Education organized the exhibition in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BRICS leaders visited stalls showcasing Indian deep-tech technologies and learned about the country's emerging technological capabilities. Exhibiting startups presented their solutions in areas such as healthcare, quantum computing, semiconductors, space technology, robotics, biotechnology, climate technology, renewable energy, and telecommunications.

Cancer screening and heart checkup will be done with AI.

Periwinkle Technologies introduced an AI-based cervical cancer screening and triage platform. This technology is capable of assessing cancer risk in less than 60 seconds. Meanwhile, Tricog Health demonstrated an AI-powered cardiac intelligence platform. This system provides real-time ECG diagnosis and patient prioritization. According to the company, it is in use in more than 12,000 healthcare facilities and has covered over 35 million patients.

From quantum computers to marine robots

QpiAI showcased its range of quantum computers based on superconducting qubits. These include the 8-qubit Qvidya for research and education, the 25-qubit Indus for advanced research and hybrid computing, and the 64-qubit Kaveri processor designed for scalability.

EyeRov introduces indigenous marine robotics platforms for critical infrastructure inspection. These include remotely operated vehicles, autonomous surface vehicles, and autonomous underwater vehicles, along with AI analytics.

Innovation in solar and electric mobility too

Quantsolar Technologies demonstrated a floating solar photovoltaic platform suitable for use on difficult water bodies. This technology is designed to deploy solar energy systems in a variety of water bodies. Chara Technologies introduced rare-earth-free electric powertrain technology. The company aims to make electric mobility more efficient, affordable, and sustainable.
