Espionage Bid Foiled in Jabalpur: Two Caught Filming Inside Army Campus Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Amid heightened India-Pakistan tensions and ongoing Operation Sindoor, a suspected espionage attempt has been exposed in a high-security Army campus in Jabalpur. Two individuals were apprehended while allegedly capturing photos and videos of a sensitive military area under the Central Command.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Mohammad Zubair (22), a resident of Ayesha Nagar, and Mohammad Irfan (32) from Anand Nagar. Both were detained by Military Intelligence after being caught under suspicious circumstances inside the military zone located in the Gora Bazar police station area.

Caught Red-Handed During Patrol

According to initial reports, the duo was spotted by security guards patrolling the Military Intelligence premises. The accused were allegedly recording video footage and taking photographs from multiple angles within the restricted campus. When questioned, their responses failed to satisfy the guards, prompting immediate alert to Military Intelligence.

Both suspects were taken into custody for interrogation. Their mobile phones have been seized and sent to a forensic lab for data analysis.

Suspicion of Foreign Links in Espionage Attempt

Authorities suspect the two individuals may have been working under the direction of foreign handlers, possibly attempting to pass on sensitive visuals to enemies of the nation. Investigations are underway to examine their call logs, social media activity, and location history to establish potential links with external agents.

Sources indicate that the nature of the data collected by the accused points to a deliberate intelligence-gathering mission. Police have been informed, though officials have refrained from commenting publicly, given the sensitivity of the case.

Security Concerns Heighten Post-Pahalgam Attack

This latest incident comes in the backdrop of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, and continuing provocations from across the border. With the Kartarpur Corridor closed and drone intrusions increasing, any attempt to gather intel on Indian military infrastructure is being treated with utmost seriousness.

Military sources have assured that all necessary security protocols are in place, and the investigation will proceed swiftly to uncover the full extent of the plot.
