Opener Beth Mooney played a key role in Australia's victory in the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. Her 64-run knock, including 10 fours from 49 balls in the final, was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series. Mooney scored 238 runs at an average of 47.60 in seven matches at the tournament, taking five catches. She finished second in the all-time run-scorer list.

In Sunday's historic match at Lord's, England scored 150 for 4. Australia responded with a victory in 17.1 overs. Meanwhile, Mooney shared a 100-run partnership for the second wicket with Phoebe Litchfield in 67 balls.

After the title win, Beth Mooney said, "This tournament has been on our calendar for a long time. Regarding Sophie Molineux's leadership, Mooney said, "Sophie is extremely calm and composed and doesn't panic even in difficult situations. She has distinguished herself as a captain. She has long been a great leader in Australian cricket, but perhaps people haven't had the opportunity to see it closely. Now we have the privilege of playing with her.
