After the title win, Beth Mooney said, "This tournament has been on our calendar for a long time. First of all, being a part of the team and playing my role as an opener and wicketkeeper has been very special for me. It is exciting to be here. This team has changed and grown a lot in the last 12 months. We have learned a lot together and shared many memorable moments. It is very satisfying to end this journey today with a World Cup win."
Speaking about Australia's impressive performance throughout the tournament, Mooney said, "I believe we played cricket with complete confidence, freedom and courage. We all supported each other and maintained our belief in ourselves. Our coaching and support staff did a fantastic job throughout the campaign. Some players suffered minor injuries in between, but having the full team available for a big match like the final was crucial. We have been travelling continuously for the last five and a half weeks. Fans from different parts of the world came to England to support us. We fully felt their love and support here."
Regarding Sophie Molineux's leadership, Mooney said, "Sophie is extremely calm and composed and doesn't panic even in difficult situations. She has distinguished herself as a captain. She has long been a great leader in Australian cricket, but perhaps people haven't had the opportunity to see it closely. Now we have the privilege of playing with her. The entire team supported her wholeheartedly, and her leadership has been honored with this World Cup title. This is the most beautiful end to a memorable tournament for us."
