Elon Musk X: Elon Musk has once again dropped a major hint regarding social media platform X. After previously admitting that X underpays its content creators, Musk has now hinted that creators' earnings on the platform could be increased to compete directly with giants like YouTube.
X agrees to increase creators' earnings.

Responding to a user's demand for higher payments to creators, Elon Musk tagged Nikita Bier, Head of Product at X. Musk stated clearly that steps should be taken in this direction, but also that strict measures against misuse of the system are essential.
Nikita Bier immediately responded to this and said that the team is working on it, and expressed confidence in a new technology that will eliminate most of the fake and fraudulent methods.
The expectation of earning more from YouTube increased enthusiasm.
Following Musk's statement, many creators and users hailed it as a significant change. Independent journalist Nick Shirley also commented, saying that while X hasn't yet been able to compete with YouTube's AdSense model, it does prove to be more effective in delivering videos to a large audience without censorship.
He believes that due to lack of better earnings, many creators were not seriously posting content on X till now, but if the payment increases, then this thinking can change.

This isn't the first time Musk has addressed this issue. Last October, he admitted that X isn't paying creators fairly and adequately. At the time, he clearly stated that YouTube does a much better job at this.
X's Creator Monetization Program, launched by Musk, has so far provided a share of advertising revenue but has faced criticism for irregular payments, delays, and unclear rules.
Promise of strictness and transparency
Now, Musk's latest statement indicates that X not only wants to increase creators' earnings but will also crack down on those who cheat the system through fake engagement and bots. If this plan is implemented correctly, X could truly pose a significant challenge to YouTube.
