East Coast Railway has invited applications for the Assistant Loco Pilot and other posts. Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the East Coast Railway's official website, rrcbbs.org.in.

This recruitment drive will fill 1,421 positions through a General Departmental Competitive Examination. The registration process will begin on August 15 and end on September 14, 2026.

The selection process
will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by an Aptitude Test/Typing Skill Test (where applicable), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on their CBT/CBAT marks and merit, as applicable for the respective pay level. The number of shortlisted candidates will ultimately equal the number of vacancies.

There will be negative marking for wrong answers in CBT. (All categories of posts) 1/3rd of the marks assigned to each question will be deducted for each wrong answer, but there will be no negative marking in Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).

Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in different categories: UR-40%, OBC (Non Creamy Layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%.
