– If you buy 6-7 kg of wheat from the market and keep it so that you can get it ground in the mill and eat rotis made from its flour, then to prevent it from spoiling, keep it in the sun two-three times a week. This will prevent dampness and every grain of wheat will remain dry and hard.

- Keep the wheat tied properly in a sack. Even today, grains are stored in large earthen pots in villages. If you keep it in a container, then put neem leaves, cloves, camphor, matchsticks etc. in it. This will prevent weevils and insects from attacking the wheat. The smell of these things is strong, due to which insects do not attack the grains quickly.

- If you keep the wheat in a sack, then do not keep it directly on the floor. Place a brick or any wood under the sack so that if there is water or moisture on the floor by mistake, the wheat does not get wet. Grains can get spoiled due to moisture. Keep the sacks on a platform or something 5-10 inches high.

- Always keep the wheat in a clean and new sack. Keeping it in used sacks can spoil the grains. If you want, you can use it after washing and drying it thoroughly, so that even a single weevil or insect is inside it, it gets removed.

- If you feel that there is moisture in the wheat, then do not make the mistake of keeping it in a sack or any container without drying it thoroughly in the sun. This can cause fungus in it. All your grains can get spoiled. Take special care of this during the rains, because wheat, pulses, rice get moisture quickly.

- Before keeping wheat in any box, drum, plastic pot, earthen pot, sack, put a lot of dry neem leaves at the bottom. This will also prevent weevils. Putting cloves, camphor, matchsticks also ensures that no grain gets spoiled quickly.
