'Don't impose toll from October 1 to January 31', Supreme Court reprimands MCD over Delhi pollution.

In light of the growing pollution problem in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court has issued an important suggestion. The court has directed that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) try not to hold toll plazas from October 1st to January 31st next year, as the traffic jams during toll plazas are a major cause of pollution.

The court has directed the MCD to relocate the toll booth and consider the matter within a week. The court has also asked the National Highways Authority of India to consider collecting tolls and giving a share to the MCD as an alternative.

During this, the court reprimanded the MCD and said that tomorrow you will start collecting money in Connaught Place also.
