When is Devshayani Ekadashi?
According to the calendar, the date of Devshayani Ekadashi began at 9:12 am on July 24 and will end at 11:34 am on July 25. This means that according to the Udayatithi, Devshayani Ekadashi will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25.

After observing the Devshayani Ekadashi fast on Saturday , July 25 
, 2026, the fast will be broken the next day, July 26, 2026. This year, the Parana time for Devshayani Ekadashi is from 5:39 am to 8:22 am on July 26.

Importance of Devshayani Ekadashi 
Devshayani Ekadashi is also known as Harishayani Ekadashi, Padma Ekadashi, or Ashadhi Ekadashi. According to Hindu scriptures, Devshayani Ekadashi, the day Lord Vishnu goes to sleep, is so significant that observing this fast is equivalent to performing thousands of yagnas.

Do not do these things on Devshayani Ekadashi. 
On the holy day of Devshayani Ekadashi, do not do any work which is prohibited in the scriptures.

On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, do not wash your hair, clothes or mop the house, just clean it by sweeping.

On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, neither get your hair cut, nor shave, nor cut your nails, shaving is prohibited on the holy day of Ekadashi.

One should not eat rice on the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, and also do not make the mistake of consuming any kind of tamasic thing like garlic, onion, non-veg etc.
