Rajyamata Status For Cow: There has been a demand in Gujarat to declare cow as the state mother. Regarding this, Congress MLA Amit Chavda put forward his point and questioned the government.  

Gujarat news: In Gujarat, Congress has demanded the BJP government to declare cow as the mother of the state. Regarding this, Congress has talked about bringing a bill so that the protection of cows can be ensured. This demand was made by Congress Legislature Party leader Amit Chavda during the discussion on the bill introduced by the government for the regulation of cow breeding in the state assembly. 

Demand to declare cow as the mother of the state 

Before Amit Chavda, BJP MLA DK Swamy said that cow is considered as mother in Hindu culture. Supporting the 'Gujarat Bovine Breeding (Regulation) Bill', he said, 'Our Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhary and Deputy Speaker Jethabhai Bharwad do not wear glasses because they drink cow's milk. We have faith in cows, not buffaloes, although we need buffaloes too, but that is a different issue. Cow is our mother. It is a symbol of the earth.' The BJP MLA said that Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel, who introduced the bill, recently recovered from health problems with the blessings of the cow. 

Protection of cows 

Congress leader Amit Chavda said that the protection of cows should not only be emotional but also legally strong. He questioned the government, 'Is the government really serious about the protection of cows?' The Congress leader demanded, 'The Gujarat government should bring a bill to declare the cow as the state mother, so that the protection of cows in the state can be ensured.' 

Demand was raised in these states as well 

Let us tell you that earlier the Maharashtra government had issued an order declaring the cow as the state mother. An order was issued regarding this, in which it was said to declare the cow as the state mother considering its importance in our daily life. In Rajasthan too, there is a demand to give the status of state mother to the cow.
