Amid the three-day nationwide strike by public sector banks from September 28th to 30th, news of significant relief has emerged for the general public and rural account holders. Cooperative banks across the country will remain open. This means that employees of these banks will not go on strike.

Cooperative banks, including state cooperative banks, district central cooperative banks, and primary agricultural credit societies (PACS), will not participate in the strike and will remain open as usual. Cooperative bank employees' unions have clarified that all essential services related to cash deposits and withdrawals, rural transactions, and check clearance will continue to operate normally at their branches without any disruption.

Cooperative banks have assured customers that the three-day strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) from September 28th to September 30th will continue. Bank branches across the country will remain closed during this period. However, ATM and online banking services will continue without interruption.

Regarding this strike, major cooperative banking institutions such as NAFCUB, NUCFDC, and NAFSCoB have clarified that cooperative banks will not participate in this three-day strike. During this period, all cooperative banks will remain open and operations will continue as usual.
