Operation Sindoor: US report reveals that the Chinese Embassy started trumpeting the success of Chinese weapons and other military equipment against India.

America exposed China
China's propaganda against India during Operation Sindoor has been exposed. A report by the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission states that China spread AI-generated images of Rafale wreckage on social media to promote its J-35 fighter jets globally.
China spread lies to sell J-35 jets.
During Operation Sindoor, China was engaged in every possible way to help its ally, Pakistan. A US Congressional report stated that China conspired to sell its J-35 fighter jets worldwide instead of the Rafale. It also stated that China prevented Indonesia from purchasing the Rafale. The report states, "Chinese embassy officials persuaded Indonesia to halt the purchase of Rafale jets already underway, further increasing China's influence in the military procurement of other regional countries."
Disinformation campaigns using AI-generated images
During Operation Sindoor, China was engaged in every possible way to support its ally Pakistan. The report revealed that French intelligence agencies have gathered evidence that China used AI-generated images and video-game graphics on social media to falsely propagate the wreckage of an Indian Rafale. The report also claims that only three Indian fighter jets were lost in Operation Sindoor against Pakistan , and that all of them may not necessarily be Rafales.
China-Pakistan military cooperation on the rise: US report
Pakistan had claimed to have shot down six Indian Rafales during Operation Sindoor, but a report presented to the US Congress exposed Shahbaz Sharif and Asim Munir. The report emphasises that China and Pakistan have intensified military cooperation in 2024 and 2025. It states, "In November and December 2024, China and Pakistan conducted the three-week Warrior-VIII anti-terrorism exercise, and in February 2025, the Chinese Navy participated in Pakistan's multinational AMAN exercise."
Chinese weapons were used for the first time
This clash between India and Pakistan marked the first time Chinese weapons were used. These included the HQ-9 air defence system, PL-15 air-to-air missiles, and J-10 fighter jets. However, the reality was that when the Indian Air Force attacked Pakistan, China's air defence system was unaware of it. Pakistani air defence systems were unable to intercept either the Rafale or the BrahMos missiles (which were fired from a Sukhoi).
China's offer to Pakistan after Operation Sindoor
China has always been Pakistan's largest defence supplier. Following this clash, China offered to sell Pakistan 40 J-35 fifth-generation fighter jets, KJ-500 aircraft, and missile defence systems. That same month, Pakistan increased its defence budget for 2025-26 by 20 per cent to $9 billion. This report, presented to the US Congress, further clarified that Donald Trump's statements about Rafale, echoing Shahbaz Sharif's, were also false.
