According to the Hindu Vedic calendar, this year the beginning of Chaitra Navratri i.e. Pratipada Tithi is starting on 29 March 2025 at 4:27 pm. The Tithi will end on 30 March at 12:49 pm. In such a situation, according to Udaya Tithi, this year Chaitra Navratri will start from 30 March. This Navratri will end on 7 April.
Which colour to wear on which day in Chaitra Navratri?
First day- The first day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Shailputri. Goddess Shailputri is considered to be the daughter of Himalayaraj. Goddess loves yellow and white colors. Therefore, yellow and white clothes should be worn on the first day of Navratri.
Second day- The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini. On the second day, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped with rituals. White coloured clothes should be worn on this day.
Third day- The third day of Navratri is dedicated to Mother Chandraghanta. Mother's favorite color is red. Therefore, red colored clothes should be worn on the third day.
Fourth day- The fourth day of Navratri is dedicated to Mata Kushmanda. Mata's favorite color is blue and purple. Therefore, blue and purple colored clothes should be worn on the fourth day.
Fifth day- The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to Mother Skandamata. Yellow and white colored clothes should be worn on this day.
