Caution! Now reels, photos and videos will not be made at railway stations... Government order has come

Kolkata-headquartered Eastern Railway has banned photography and videography at stations. Officials have urged all bloggers and YouTubers not to make detailed photos and videos of stations in the interest of national security. This decision has been taken after the arrest of Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who is accused of giving sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agents.

Eastern Railway, headquartered in Kolkata, has banned photography and videography at its stations in view of security. Officials have urged all bloggers and YouTubers not to take detailed photos or make videos of stations under its jurisdiction in the interest of national security.

Officials given responsibility

Eastern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Diptimay Dutta said that the concerned officials will increase surveillance and ensure that no one can take detailed pictures of important stations.

This appeal of Eastern Railway comes a few days after Haryana YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra was arrested for allegedly passing on sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agents.

Decision for security

The CPRO said, restrictions on taking photographs or videos of station premises and platforms are in place. Now we have decided to increase surveillance with the emerging situations and security alerts across the country. He said that some bloggers or YouTubers try to make videos of railway stations, which is very worrying.

No compromise on security

He said that despite the ban being implemented in all sections and divisions, some people do not want to follow the guidelines. We request all bloggers and YouTubers not to do such activities now. Security cannot be compromised, so this ban was necessary.
