The soldiers of CRPF and ITBP, which come under the central paramilitary force 'CAPF', will get relief from heavy iron trunks. Now the soldiers of these forces will be provided with modern suitcases with trolleys. The life of this suitcase has been fixed for five years. That is, after this period, a new suitcase will be provided. However, the recruits of these forces, that is, the new entrants, will be provided with iron trunks only. The plan to provide suitcases to these forces was in the works since last year. The Union Home Ministry has approved the plan to provide suitcases. It is being told that similar suitcases will be provided to other central forces as well.

Several tests, such as surface hardness test, handle jerk test and standing pull handle jerk test, etc., have been conducted in this direction. CRPF and BSF headquarters can purchase this modern suitcase with trolley according to the number of eligible personnel. 

Since the establishment of the Central Paramilitary Forces, iron trunks have been provided to the soldiers. If it had many advantages, it also had some disadvantages. For example, iron trunks are strong. It can be kept in buses, trains or trucks as per one's wish. However, soldiers face difficulties when they have to come on leave. They face many difficulties in bringing that trunk with them in public transport. It cannot be kept easily in the bus. The reason is that it occupies a lot of space.

Similarly, there is a problem with iron trunks in trains as well. Even if you have to come from the bus stand or railway station by auto or taxi, iron trunks do not fit easily. If there is a small vehicle or it has to be kept in an auto, then after the trunk there is very little space left for any other luggage or passenger.

The modern suitcase with trolley that will be provided to the soldiers of these forces has many advantages. For example, it is much lighter than an iron trunk. It is easy to carry. It can be adjusted in private or public means of transport. Before purchasing a modern suitcase, it has been made mandatory to test the suitcase in a testing lab or factory premises. The suitcase is said to have a three-point locking system and anti-theft secure zipper. 

Suitcases made of polypropylene hard top body do not cause any problems in long distance travel. This is a suitcase for rough handling. There is no fear of scratches etc. on it during travel. It will have wheels. Last year, when the suitcase was being tested, a rule was made to pass it through pull handle tube and surface hardness test etc. with luggage up to 22 kg. 

To test the wheels of the suitcase, it has been said that it should be driven for 16 kms in one direction. Apart from these, handle jerk test, drop test and tumble test have also been conducted. It has also been observed that during the tumble test, the colour of the suitcase has neither deteriorated nor has it cracked. 

In the pull handle test, multi push pull handle cycle test, hanging pull handle jerk and standing pull handle jerk test have been done. The suitcase has been put through 240 hours of humidity chamber hardware test. Lock open and close test has also been done. Along with this, oven test was also kept for the suitcase. In this, it has been said to keep the suitcase at 65 degree Celsius temperature for 120 hours.
