Premanand Maharaj: Offering food to God is a part of worship, but can burger-pizza be offered to God?

Burgers in Indulgence
Premanand Maharaj: The scriptures say that one should offer food to God before eating. In Hinduism, offerings are made to God during rituals and ceremonies. In many homes, the daily food cooked is also dedicated to God, and only after that do the family eat.
Whenever we prepare offerings for God, we ensure the purity, sanctity, and sattvikta of the food. Many devotees wonder whether what they eat can be offered to God. For example, a person asked Premananda Maharaj whether burgers and pizzas could be offered to God. Maharaj answered this question with ease, resolving his dilemma.
Is it right or wrong to offer burgers to God?
A person asked if pizza and burgers could be made at home and offered to God. Premananda Maharaj replied that God sees the devotion of his devotee, so you can prepare these items at home in a virtuous manner and offer them to him. There is a difference between home-cooked food and food from the market. At home, we cook food with pure ghee or oil, but purity is not maintained in the market, so keep a check on market-cooked food. There is no place for impure food in offerings.
Why is the offering made?
According to scriptures, eating food after offering it to God removes food defects. Preparing food for God demonstrates a spirit of sacrifice and charity. For example, when you eat laddus, you feed them to yourself and your family members, whereas when you offer them as an offering, you search for them and distribute them to others, which demonstrates a spirit of sacrifice.
