Boyfriend Murders Girlfriend After Discovering Her Secret, Arrested in Jabalpur

In a shocking incident in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, a 19-year-old man, Abdul Samad, killed his 18-year-old girlfriend, Laxmi, after becoming enraged by her secret communication with another man. Abdul’s violent outburst ended in tragedy, and he has now been arrested by the police.

Abdul, who had been in a relationship with Laxmi since January 2025, had grown suspicious when he noticed her phone was often in use, and she would spend long hours talking to someone else. Despite his repeated confrontations, Laxmi avoided giving him a straight answer. His jealousy reached a boiling point when he discovered the call details on her old mobile phone, which she had recently replaced.

On May 9, Abdul visited Laxmi in Jabalpur, where she was staying with her family. After giving her a new mobile phone and taking her old one with him, Abdul was consumed by anger when he saw the number of the man she had been secretly communicating with. He fed Laxmi sweets, attempting to create a calm moment, and asked her to promise not to speak to other men. When she didn’t respond, Abdul's anger turned deadly.

The next day, Laxmi was found dead, her body covered in deep stab wounds. Her family had become concerned when she hadn’t returned after a brief trip to meet Abdul. They eventually discovered her bloodied body about 200 meters away from their house.

The police investigation led them to Abdul Samad after they found Laxmi’s old phone near the crime scene. It was revealed that Abdul had spoken to her shortly before the murder, and his phone was later turned off. Tracing his movements through technical evidence, the police were able to arrest him.

During interrogation, Abdul confessed to the crime, expressing regret for killing the woman he once claimed to love. He stated that his jealousy and suspicion had driven him to take the extreme step. This tragic incident has left both families shattered and raised serious concerns about the dangers of possessiveness and unchecked emotional outbursts in relationships.
