Bomb threat to IndiGo flight coming from Kochi to Delhi, emergency landing in Nagpur

IndiGo flight coming from Kochi to Delhi had to make an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur after receiving a bomb threat. The airline officials had received information about a bomb being placed in the plane, after which the plane was diverted to Nagpur. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted an intensive search operation.
A flight going from Kochi to Delhi had to make an emergency landing at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur on Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat.
According to initial information, the airline officials had received a threat about a bomb being placed in the plane. Following the standard protocol, the plane was diverted and landed safely at Nagpur airport.
'Nothing suspicious found yet'
Nagpur DCP Lohit Matani said, "IndiGo flight 6E 2706 flying from Muscat-Kochi-Delhi had to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport after receiving a bomb threat. All passengers have been deboarded, investigation is on, nothing suspicious has been found yet."
Airport security on high alert
The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) immediately reached the spot and started an intensive search operation. All passengers were evacuated safely and the aircraft was isolated for inspection. Airport security, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police are currently on high alert and are investigating the source of the threat.
