Air India Plane Crash Live: A major accident has occurred in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. An Air India plane crashed here immediately after takeoff. According to eyewitnesses, thick black smoke was seen rising in the sky from the crash site, causing panic in the area. At the time of the accident, there were 242 people on board the plane, including two pilots and 10 cabin crew. Many videos have also surfaced after the plane crash, which are telling its horror.

1:10 PM - Boarding complete, preparation for takeoff

Air India flight AI-171 was about to depart from Ahmedabad to London. All 242 passengers had boarded and the plane was ready for takeoff on the runway.

1:38 PM - The plane took off

The plane took off from Ahmedabad airport. The flight was normal for the first few minutes. Soon after taking off from runway 23, the plane crashed to the ground outside the airport boundary. 

 

 

There were a total of 242 people on board

the plane, including 230 adults, 2 children and 12 crew members (10 cabin crew and 2 pilots). At the time of the accident, the plane was being commanded by pilot-in-command Sumit Sabharwal and co-pilot Clive Kunder. The airport emergency team was activated immediately after the crash. Thick clouds of smoke could be seen far away from the spot. Many buildings in Meghaninagar have been damaged. Relief and rescue operations are continuing on a war footing.

It is worth noting that senior officials of DGCA, DAW, ADAW and an FOI were already present in Ahmedabad. They are collecting all the information related to this accident and the investigation process has been started. According to NDRF, three teams of 90 personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent from Gandhinagar to the plane crash site. A total of three more teams are being sent from Vadodara.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. He has taken information from him about the Air India plane accident. The central government has assured all possible help.

 

Former Chief Minister of Gujarat was also on board the plane

Former Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani was also on board this plane. Vijay Rupani was going to London. He was going to London to meet his family. Many relatives including his wife and daughter live in London, whom he was going to meet. 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted

CM Mamata wrote on Twitter, "I am shocked and deeply shocked to hear the news of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad today. This is extremely sad news for all of us. I express my condolences to the bereaved families, at the same time we are all eagerly waiting for information about the survivors and praying for their safety. This accident during the take-off of the plane going to London has shaken me to the core. Although we have not yet received the exact figures, but according to media reports, there were 242 passengers on board the plane. At this moment I am praying to God for everyone's well-being."
