Covid-19 vaccine on Health: Research published in the Cell journal found that when both doses are given in the same arm, the disease-fighting cells of the body are already ready.

Research on Vaccine: According to new research, if the booster dose of the vaccine is taken in the same arm in which the first dose was given, then the body builds faster and stronger immunity. This helps the body build protection quickly. According to Xinhua News Agency, this discovery can improve the vaccine strategy and it is possible that fewer booster doses may be needed in the future. This research has been done jointly by Australia's Garvan Institute and Kirby Institute (University of New South Wales).
What was found in the research?
Research published in the journal 'Cell' found that when both doses are given in the same arm, the body's disease-fighting cells (which are in the nearby lymph nodes) are already ready. By giving the second dose there, these cells become active immediately and rapidly produce powerful antibodies.
Researchers first observed this effect in mice. Then they conducted a study on 30 people who had received Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine. In this research, they found that people who had received both doses of the vaccine in the same arm developed faster and more protection, especially against different variants of COVID-19 like Delta and Omicron.
If you have taken the vaccine in both arms then there is no need to panic
Tri Fan, director of the Precision Immunology Program at the Garvan Institute, said this is an important discovery about how our immunity works. Although after four weeks, antibody levels were almost equal in both groups, those who took the dose in one arm got protection earlier, which is very important in times of pandemic.
Another author of the study, Mee Ling Munier, said that if someone has taken the vaccine in both arms, then there is no need to panic, the difference in protection reduces with time. But in times of pandemic, even a few days can be very important.
