According to sources, the police has made preparations for barricading in Muradi Road of Batla House area for demolition. A notice was pasted on Muradi Road. After the stay from the court, except those properties, other properties can be demolished. Delhi Police is making preparations in view of security. Barricading is also being done.

 

 

The police has placed barricades near the marriage hall in the same lane where the DDA has pasted notices for demolition of houses in Batla House. All the barricades have been placed on the side of the wall. Since the police brought the barricades, there are talks of bulldozer action in the area. But, police force has not been deployed in the area yet.

 

What did Delhi Police say?

In fact, Delhi Police tightened security in the Batla House area of ​​south-east Delhi on Tuesday. Sources said that amid heavy rains, policemen were seen erecting barricades at many places. He said, "We have put up barricades in the area and have activated informers and sources to maintain law and order."

 

This development comes at a time when the Delhi High Court has directed to maintain status quo till July 10 on the proposed demolition by the DDA in the Batla House area. In an order issued on June 16, Justice Tejas Karia has sought a reply from the DDA and other parties within four weeks. While fixing the next hearing of the case on July 10, the court said, "In the meantime, status quo will be maintained by the parties."
